FAPA, the Florida Authors and Publishers Association, honored me with a Gold Medal for my latest historical biography, James R. Anthony: The Banker Who Shaped Florida’s History. The book mixes Florida history with Anthony’s biography, telling the story of this little-known but pivotal figure in Florida’s early history. The book won top prize in the History category of the 2025 FAPA President’s Awards competition. Thanks to Sarah Anthony for introducing me to her fascinating grandfather.
