In this fast-paced, upbeat session, I’ll look at the keys to the all-important beginning and ending of a novel. I’ll explain what each should accomplish and share some classic opening sentences. As important as the beginning, a less-than-satisfying ending can ruin an otherwise well-written novel. Participants will have the opportunity to write their own opening sentences. All are invited to the free workshop, “Great Beginnings & Solid Endings,” at the FWA Ancient City Chapter on Saturday, January 21, at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Main Library.
